Fifty-six years together
I, Fabrizio Raccanello, along with my partner Giorgio Tonin, and with Loris Baccega and family, want to thank all those who have expressed their condolences and support following the passing of our partner Silvano Baccega.
We founded CONTEC srl together in 1984, after a previous and valuable experience in the prefabrication technology sector. Since then, we have been able to apply all our skills to best meet the industry’s expectations.
Over fifty years of truly uninterrupted, close-knit, and proactive collaboration have enabled us to address any problem our clients presented, experimenting with new and meticulously designed and implemented solutions, always customized.
Despite our diverse roles and specializations, we have always been able to provide the right solution. We have carved out our own space, and with a diverse yet close team, we have brought an almost unremarkable name to the forefront of a competitive and challenging market.
Silvano’s precision and attention were always the timely response to system and hydraulic problems. His tenacity in studying the issues and each hydraulic circuit, even those yet to be invented, allowed us to always achieve our goal of meeting market demands.
His tireless presence with customers, and especially directly in their workplaces, earned him the reliability that other competitors still envy.
The search for innovative systems was his always specific and dedicated response to each customer’s problems, resulting in the creation of groundbreaking equipment.
Always a long journey of solidarity, even when the three of us could express different ideas and opinions, but having always been together with a common goal, guaranteed the necessary potential through the ups and downs of life.
Silvano will be missed by me, Giorgio, and everyone at the company, as well as by the suppliers with whom he always established true collaborative relationships. He will be missed by so many of our customers, but especially by those who saw him work in overalls and gloves next to them, amidst construction sites, among formwork, among strands, amidst the inherent dangers of those places, covered in concrete and oil, perhaps with a sandwich in hand and a Coke, sitting on the edge of a formwork or on a beam just released from its mold because there was no time for lunch. But he was always determined to achieve the goal and solve the problem before the evening, and sometimes even after.
Your appreciation now bears witness to the deep impact Silvano has left on every place, across the continents.
He leaves us with a unique personal and professional legacy that we must all embrace and develop so we can always have him with us.
